Maddie is officially one month old today! She is continuing to grow at a steady pace. She now weighs more than 3 lbs...one more pound to go, and she will graduate to a small crib. The doctors are hoping to have Maddie begin nursing or bottle feeding in the next week. Her blood sugars have had trouble stabilizing, so that will be a determining factor for her feeding schedule.
We are really starting to notice the ounces on Maddie - her once skinny fingers and toes are starting to "plump up" and Byron pointed out a fat roll on her arm today. I am counting down the days until I can bring some preemie clothes up to the NICU and play dress up.
