While Mom took a well deserved afternoon off to enjoy The Davis Cup here in Austin, Maddie and I spent the day together, making sure to pack in as much spoiling as possible. We started at our favorite coffee joint for a a shared cup of salted-caramel gelato (Maddie's favorite) and an espresso for dad (for energy).
From there, it was on to REI to shop for some new hiking shoes that Maddie will certainly need on her upcoming trip to Colorado in a few weeks.
Maddie has always shown quite an interest in shiny bicycles, so we stopped by to take a look at those as well.
It was a great day and Maddie was an angel.
That sounds like a terrific day (I could use some gelato) - Byron you know how to show a girl a good time! I'm impressed.
