You wouldn't know it by looking at this photo, but Miss Maddie is getting quite the reputation around the NICU for being the "feisty kid". This morning when the nurse checked on her, she had pulled her cannula out of her nose and was chewing on it, and had grabbed her feeding tube and pulled it completely out, while milk was running out of the tube into her bed!
Naturally, Byron and I are shocked by such behavior, and wonder where in the world she gets it, as we seem to both recall being angels when we were young.
That's so funny - Maddie must be getting stronger to accomplish such feats!

it was an angelic feat! so she's just like both of you. strong & agile. although, you might speak to her about what she chooses to pull on. lol. feisty sounds right to me... fiesty is good,Maddie. lots of love B&C

ReplyDeleteSo glad to see the weight gain progress that Maddie is making. It is wonderful to hear that she making a statement for her parents in the NICU. I seem to recalll a little (okay not so little) guy who like to remind us that he was in the room.
