Three Pounds

Maddie hit a growth spurt last night and crossed the three pound mark this morning.  That's a gain of almost 3 ounces in one day, which seems a little fishy, but we're excited nonetheless.  She's actually starting to look a little more filled-out in her extremities (her cheeks were already pretty plump thanks to genetics).  She's had some issues with a distended stomach which the doctors are watching closely, but they've reassured us that it can be normal at her age.  Otherwise, she's eating well and having fewer spells of apnea. 

When Maddie's blood sugar gets a little more stable, the nurses want to try some bottle feeding to see how she takes to it.  We're hopeful that's around the corner in the near future.
